$6.4 Million Over Budget in the 22-23 School Year

We were told that the budget overage from last year (2023-24) was because of 78 Special Ed Students that were not planned for.

We've been told that the BOE/Schools can not carry Debt.

How did the BOE come up with 6.4 Million Dollars in 17 days at the end of the 2022-23 School Year?

Is this the same money that the town just agreed to give the BOE/Schools for the 2023-24 School Year?

These are clips from the BOE meetings from February 2023 to June 13 2023 where the talk about the budget, it's near the end of every meeting, when most everyone has stopped watching/listening. It wasn't until the budget issues that came up this year that made me look into the prior year to see if there was any mentions of them overspending the budget, and was kind of surprised to see that they were indeed over nearly the say amount as the town bailed them out of last year.

The Teacher in question is also the Vice President of the Teachers Union in Enfield, and has been on every News Channel that he could manage to get himself on talking about the School Budget. He has been disrespectful at Town Council Meetings and Board of Education Meetings by shouting out comments from the audience and trying to intimidate other people in the audience with the aid of a shirt that is two sizes too small.

She ends up congratulating herself for some reason that isn't clear. She doesn't have children in the school system, so by her own comments on Feb 14th she shouldn't be allowed to ask questions or speak on things related to the school system. So putting the hypocrazy and the self entitled cringe aside, why would she be SO upset that Phil is asking questions? Phil starts asking questions, suddenly the Superintendent quits, then Tina freaks out and tries to Bully Phil for just asking questions.

Enfield CT Junior High School Pizza Assignment Questions Answered - You Can't Handle The Truth

Chris Drezek the Superintendent and Democrat members of the Board of Ed have stated repeatedly that all of the questions have been answered in previous meetings. I don't see any answers in these clips, just excuses.

As of the day of this meeting, it's been 242 days since the 'mistake' happened at JFK. The mistake at question is an assignment that used Pizza as a metaphor in place of what the 8th grade students 'wants, desires, and boundaries' were, and to list them all to be reviewed. Example "Olives = Giving Oral" was listed as a possible option. The assignment was designed for college students, but somehow it magically was put in to the curriculum in Enfield 'by Mistake'.

Early on it was said by the Health Coordinator for the junior high school that the assignment was caught in June or July of the prior year by the Health Coordinator (so it appears that she did not add it if her statement was true), but she failed to remove it. She also mentioned that there was another version that was to be used that had a different 2nd page and wasn't supposed to be about sex at all. However the first page, first sentence "We can use pizza as a metaphor for sex!". I have not been able to find an alternate version of this assignment, and there has not been one put forward by the school as they continue the coverup with the assistance of the democrat party Board of Education members including the Chair Woman Tina Leblanc.

It has been suggested by anonymous sources that the teachers that assigned the pizza assignment did not want to because it was not appropriate, but they were pressured by unnamed people.

There are a lot of questions that have not been answered to date, but as time as gone on more and more questions have arisen. Enfield Superintendent Christopher Drezek and JFK Principal Andrew Berrios have not only not been forthcoming about the situation, they have actively worked to not answer questions and not allow an independent investigation by a committee proposed by Republican board member John Unghire. A Parent emailed in regard to the assignment, and Andrew Berrios' answer was to forward it to Drezek with a note "I am not responding". Drezek's response, "Good don't, I'm not either." Now BOE Chair Tina Leblanc has stated that she will not allow a committee to look in to the questions around the assignment.
